From San Fernando Valley

From the Ventura Freeway (101) take the Las Virgenes Road exit and drive south until it ends on Pacific Coast Highway by the ocean. Turn right on Pacific Coast Highway and drive upcoast (west) 16.5 miles until Yerba Buena Road (just past Leo Carrillo State Park), and turn inland (north). Travel on Yerba Buena Road 6.0 miles and turn into the Sandstone Peak trailhead parking lot on the left.
