You Will Be Serving Man Rather Than God

A Christian should not attend a mixed marriage wedding because he or she will be serving man rather than God. Adam's dilemma before the fall was whether he should listen to Eve's advice regarding the forbidden fruit or obey God. We are faced with the same question: Should we serve God before man, or man before God?

Matthew 10:38 He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Matthew 12:48-50 "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother."
