Genetically Modified Foods
Various terms are used for genetically modified foods, which include:
GM foods, biotech foods, GMO (foods derived from genetically modified
organisms), GE (genetic engineering). Typically, genetically modified
foods are transgenic plant products: soybean, corn, canola, rice, and
cotton seed oil. These may have been engineered for faster growth, resistance
to pathogens, production of extra nutrients, or any other beneficial
purpose. See Wikipedia Genetically
modified food.
The Trouble with GMO
- Doctors
and farmers find that eliminating GMOs prevents disease. Posted
8/29/2012. They are finding the elimination of immune disorders, arthritis,
diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, allergies, skin problems, general
pain, migraines, and restless leg syndrome, among other problems.
According to one doctor, the results happen pretty quickly too. Dr.
Lindner is getting her patients off the most common genetically modified
foods including soy, corn, canola oil, and sugar and recommending
that they buy organic to avoid even more of them. Full results, she
tells us, normally take four to six weeks.
- Scientist:
insect resistance shows unsustainability of GM corn. Posted 12/27/2011.
A recent report from the US Environmental Protection Agency showing
that insects are becoming resistant to Monsantos genetically
modified Bt corn demonstrates that GM corn is not sustainable. The
EPA report confirmed that corn rootworms are becoming resistant to
Monsantos GM corn in four states: Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota,
and Nebraska.

All being done simultaneously, all being done legally and all sponsored or mandated in some fashion by this government !! The implications for the American public are staggering.

the NY Times is now rejecting Monsanto GMO science. Posted 4/9/2013.
In the nearly 20 years of applied use of G.E. in agriculture there
have been two notable successes, along with a few less
notable ones. These are crops resistant to Monsantos Roundup
herbicide (Monsanto develops both the seeds and the herbicide to which
theyre resistant) and crops that contain their own insecticide.
The first have already failed, as so-called superweeds have developed
resistance to Roundup, and the second are showing signs of failing,
as insects are able to develop resistance to the inserted Bt toxin
originally a bacterial toxin faster than new crop variations
can be generated.
- US
farmers flood fields with dangerous poison to fight Monsanto superweeds.
Posted 2/25/2013. Tom Philpot, writing in Mother Jones (Feb.6), reports
the alarming stats on the superweed takeover of US farmland. As of
2012, almost 50% of US farms had superweeds. In 2011, it was 34%.
In Georgia, its now 92%.

farmers resist GMOs because non-GMO seeds work better. Posted
3/24/2011. Ohio farmers are more reluctant to plant genetically modified
organisms (GMOs) in their fields than their counterparts in other
Midwestern states, planting nearly 30 percent of their fields with
non-modified corn. In contrast, less than 20 percent of corn acreage
in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa is planted with non-transgenic seed.
