• Record-Low 26% in U.S. Favor Handgun Ban. Posted 10/26/2011. Support for stricter gun laws in general is lowest Gallup has measured. When Gallup first asked Americans this question in 1959, 60% favored banning handguns. But since 1975, the majority of Americans have opposed such a measure, with opposition around 70% in recent years.

Massacres in Public Places (e.g. schools, malls, etc.)

Consider this situation: Let us assume you are in the school when Adam Lanza enters and begins to shoot children. You see him murder a child in cold blood. He has his back turned to you and beyond him is a solid concrete-block wall -- no innocent children or adults. On the table next to you, within arms reach, appears a loaded gun. You have 2 seconds to decide before Adam kills another child: Will you shoot Adam Lanza and stop his assault or not?

• Israel's approach: "In the early 70's, Israel was faced with much greater problems of armed terrorist attacks on schools. The cry for more gun control was heard then too, but Israel very carefully analyzed all possible options before adopting the proactive position of arming and training selected teachers. School shootings stopped and terrorists looked for easier targets. Gun control never has and never will stop criminals and madmen from carrying out acts of gun violence."
• County Police Chief Recommends Arming School Personnel. Posted 12/17/2012. St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch says it is time to talk about arming civilian school personnel following Friday’s massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, comparing it to arming airline pilots after September 11, 2001. “I see it no differently,” he said. “Pilots have been armed now for many many years, we’ve not had another hijacking and the issue is, for the bad guy, he doesn’t know which airplane he’s getting on, if the pilot is armed or not.”

(1) Federal laws, including the Gun Free School Zones Act and the Gun-Free Schools Act, prohibit the possession of firearms within 1000 feet of school grounds (some states allow carry with the possession of a CCW, but this does not stop schools from firing teachers who do decide to carry if discovered). Sandy Hook (December 14, 2012)

• Net Reporting Achieves Results at Sandy Hook? Posted 2/9/2013. Sandy Hook: Law Enforcement Officials Now Admit Possibility Of Multiple Shooters ... New information has now been brought forth by Connecticut State Attorney Stephen Sedensky, suggesting that records pertaining to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting have been sealed to possibly hide the identity of witnesses from multiple shooter suspects and that they should not be unsealed anytime soon. Officials fear the safety of witnesses. Now we are getting somewhere, after nearly two months this new information is startling.

• CNN video of police charge at Sandy Hook is not Sandy Hook. The three-minute report posted on the day of the shootings at the official CNN website is entitled "Tragedy Strikes at Elementary School." But the school is almost certainly not Sandy Hook. It is St. Rose of Lima School, a private school a few miles away, also in Newtown.
• CT School Shootings; Facts Before Hype. Posted 12/15/2012. Facts: (1) The assailant stole the guns from his mother whom he first murdered. (2) The assailant broke into the school through a window. (3) The school was a "gun-free" zone and had no locks on the doors.
• (YouTube) Sandy Hook. FULLY EXPOSED. 30 Mins. Too many discrepancies in the reporting. Compare this with COLOMBINE. Thousands of parents crying desperately outside of the school. Surveillance footage of both shooters. All the evidences free for the media. People injuried and wounded outside of the school.

• (YouTube) Sandy Hook Photo Shopped Images Of Parker Family? Posted 1/16/2013. Looks like amateur Photoshop work. Besides what's on the video, a few more things to notice....The red black dress photo the one sibling has no legs, the youngest sibling appears to have one leg. When you look at the parents faces and compare the two pictures, the parents seem to age quite a bit while the children remain the same age.

Bulletproofing

• BulletBlocker.com. Sells bulletproof backpacks, gear, and more. Also see: Ballistic Protection Levels.
• Amendment2.com. Sells bulletproof backpacks using expensive nanotechnology (i.e. carbon nanotube armor). The backpacks are selling for $300 each, as of 12/27/2012.
• Backface deformation testing: When? soft armor is tested against ballistic clay, the depth permitted in a certified vest (called backface deformation) is 44 mm. That's almost 2 inches deep! That is what scientific and medical experts have agreed is the amount of "acceptable" trauma to a body from a bullet impact. Most bulletproof vests have a backface deformation of around 38 to 42 mm. Amendment2 armor is in the high 20s to mid 30s.
• Protection levels: The National Institute of Justice has created a de facto standard by which all armor can be evaluated and rated as to its protective characteristics. There are 5 overall classifications, increasing in ballistic protection: IIA, II, IIIA, III, and IV. Basically, types IIA, II, and IIIA are for protection against handgun rounds, while type III and IV armors are for use against assault rifles (such as the AR-15 or AK-47), firing .308, 5.56, or 7.62, or similar rounds. At the present, a plate carrier with heavy ceramic or steel plates is required to stop these rounds. Amendment II is working on a version of RynoHide with the capability of stopping these faster, more powerful rounds. They hope to have these available by the first quarter of 2013.

• Society Is Crumbling Right In Front Of Our Eyes And Banning Guns Won't Help. Posted 12/16/2012. The criminals don't obey gun control laws. Banning guns will just take them out of the hands of law-abiding American citizens that just want to protect their own families. For example, Chicago has very strict gun laws. But 10 people were shot in the city of Chicago on Friday alone. Chicago is now considered to be "the deadliest global city", and the murder rate in Chicago is about 25 percent higher than it was last year.
• Twelve facts about guns and mass shootings in the United States. Posted 12/14/2012. Anti-gun bias here. It ignores mass killings by bombs, knives (China in particular), beatings, strangling, etc. Note: Per capita murder overall is only half as frequent in the United States as in several other nations where gun murder is rarer, but murder by strangling, stabbing, or beating is much more frequent. Nevertheless, this is what they list in this article:
  1. Shooting sprees are not rare in the United States.
  2. 15 of the 25 worst mass shootings in the last 50 years took place in the United States. [Again, it ignores mass killings by other means.]
  3. Lots of guns don’t necessarily mean lots of shootings, as you can see in Israel and Switzerland.
  4. Of the 11 deadliest shootings in the US, five have happened from 2007 onward.
  5. America is an unusually violent country. But we’re not as violent as we used to be. [Actually, the U.S. is about in the middle worldwide.]
  6. The South is the most violent region in the United States. [Not entirely true. Need to see state by state. See Assault Deaths Within the United States.]
  7. Gun ownership in the United States is declining overall. [There has been a huge surge in the last couple of years.]
  8. More guns tend to mean more homicide.
  9. States with stricter gun control laws have fewer deaths from gun-related violence. [Acknowleges that " sample sizes are small", so statistically insignificant.]
  10. Gun control, in general, has not been politically popular.
  11. But particular policies to control guns often are. [Red herring. Background checks, no guns for felons, mentally ill are slam dunks.]
  12. Shootings don’t tend to substantially affect views on gun control.
