Biblical Father-Son Types

"The Father is greater than I" (John 14:28)

Our use of the word "type" is found here Definition of "Type". Numerous Biblical "types" parallel the Father-Son relationship, having greater-lesser, outer-inner, and/or source-recipient characteristics. For example,

Prophet and Priest Priest—speaks to God Prophet (Judge and King)—speaks for God 2 Peter 1:21: "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."; The priesthood is by inheritance and a ministry of water and blood. The priest is an intercessor, a mediator.
