Apps

  • YouVersion. Free. Available about 3 years. Claims to have over 100 million devices using it. YouVersion includes hundreds of Bible versions, hundreds of reading plans, and dozens of languages. You can add your own highlights and bookmarks, and public or private notes.
  • Bible.is. Bible.is offers mobile access to more languages and Bible translations than any other Bible App, and includes dramatized Bible audio and The JESUS Film Project. You can READ the Bible, LISTEN to the Bible, and SEE the Bible as never before.
  • ESV CrossWay. This is the only free ESV Bible App available on your Android device, with or without an internet connection. The ESV Bible from Crossway offers a fantastic user experience. Finding a verse is fast and easy.
  • Glo Bible. Slow application. Sometimes buggy. Glo Bible has beautiful visual design with top translations such as ESV, KJV, NIV, NKJV and the Message. It has built-in videos, images, maps plus a large set of study tools to help you better understand Biblical times and history. A remarkable Bible app! Internet connection required!   • Blue Letter Bible. For iOS devices only. Blue Letter Bible comes standard with the KJV and ASV. Many other translations are available with an internet connection.
  • NIV Bible. NIV Bible App for Android – 2011 Version. What happens when you combine a group of engineers in Silicon Valley with the NIV Bible?  You get the NIV Bible by Tecarta – a very cool and fast Android app designed for Bible Study, quick navigation, and easy note taking.  No other Bible app matches the design and functionality.
  • OliveTree. Free reader, but you have to purchase resources. Claims to have over 4 million installations.
  • DailyBible. For Android devices.
  • BibleGateway. Free. Including more than 90 different Bible translations. Store your notes, favorites and highlights in the cloud, and sync them across devices or to the Bible Gateway website.
  • eBible. eBible was acquired by Osprit Inc. in September 2011 and fully launched later that year. Asks for $12/year, but basic features are free.
  • Logos Bible App. Version 5. Starter is $295; Gold is $1,550.
  • Faithlife Study Bible OFFER. Free offer ends on March 2014. $90 thereafter. Runs off the Logos software.
  • Biblia.com. Free online reader from Logos. You’ll find 50 free Bibles, commentaries, and theological books on Biblia.com, but that's just the beginning. Logging in with a registered Logos account unlocks another 24 free books. At Biblia.com, you can read your Logos and Vyrso books, as well as the Faithlife Study Bible, from any Web-enabled device. The Biblia.com API provides Web, mobile, and desktop applications with access to Bible text through web services.
